• Description

  She's a petite girl whom has a fragile heart from years of trauma. She doesn't stand very tall, nor strong. She's what her mother called a"featherweight" and is very clumsy.
  
  Her personality changes like the moon. The same cycle, but beautiful nethertheless. She's easy to hurt, so watch what you say unless you want to break the girl's spirit.
  
  Her face is slightly heartshaped, and her eyes have a slight almond shape, but tend to round out around the middle of her eyelids. Her bangs sidesweep sometimes from over her right eye to her left, parting up the right part of her head. Due to being a mermaid, her hair grows exceedingly fast.
  
  When in the presence of water, her legs become a long glittering tail, ended by a ribbonesque fluke.
  
  Though she doesn't know it right now, she has the ability to control water due to her mother's blood that courses through her own veins.

• Biography

  Yveine has always been a cheerful girl, though living alone most of her life.
  Abandoned by her father, she and her mother lives quite happily together in a small house on the outskirts of town, keeping to themselves for plenty of years.
  
  One fateful day, however, changed her life. A group of hunters appeared, having heard rumors that her mother was a danger to society and must face consequences. They set their home in fire, prompting her mother to sacrifice herself in order to save Yveine.
  
  She survived the fire, the hunters leaving her for dead. She lived on foraged food, hunting small animals for a while before gathering the strength to go to town by herself. With the help of a few villagers, she was able to make a new home by fixing what was left of her mother's house against a hollow tree trunk. From then on, she took up work as a seamstress's assistant.
